Default BUG: Midi editor showing incorrect lengths of notes

'Reaper 6.14 x64' on 'Windows 10 Pro x64 (build 2004)'.

Normal midi file (Chopin - etude op.10 n1). When opened in Reaper the MIDI event shows correct note lengths, but when double clicked (to edit in MIDI editor) some of the note lengths overlap and have incorrect lengths (too long). And the worst part is... it affects the audio!
In Reason 10 (for comparison) everything looks well and plays as expected!

seems to look OK...

the problem:

in Reason everything is fine:

Anyone having the same experience?

Attached is the simple .mid file used to reproduce the bug. The only automation in the .mid file is a Sustain Pedal. Also Velocity dynamics, which is quite common.

Chopin - Etude Op. 10, No. 1 (midi file)

Don't see these long notes here (6.14/x64) - looks like in your Reason screenshot here.

Did you double click it in order to "edit the MIDI events"?
I agree, that in the TCP as a MIDI-clip it looks as it should.

Could you please share a screenshot.

Confirmed here. I reckon that the problem is caused by overlapping notes. And the overlapping notes are caused by misinterpretation (or non-interpretation) of the tempo changes during the imported MIDI clip.

Here are some problematic C2 notes in Reaper (with some transposed to show the overlaps:

And here they are in energyXT(with alternate notes selected to distinguish them):

And finally, here is the view in the Arranger when opening (pink notes) / closing (blue-green notes)the in-line Editor:

I do hope that this is enough info for the bug to be fixed.

Thanx, DarkStar
What a relief! So it is not only me. Such a cumbersome bug.
It has been bugging me for ages!

Those small (or big) things make me consider Reaper as just a recording DAW, nothing else serious.
