Default Multiple crashes during playback ??ntdll.dll

Hi,

Sorry I'm not very computer literate but this is what I can make out.
Reaper keeps crash multiple times, easily reproducible after a minute or two of playback in a project.
Doesn't seem to crash if the project remains open but not playing back.
Running the latest version of Reaper on latest version of Windows 10

I've checked the Event Viewer and the message under "application crash" is always the same as below:

Faulting application name: reaper.exe, version: 5.9.7.9, time stamp: 0x5d07daf6
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17134.799, time stamp: 0x7f828745
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x00000000000f479b
Faulting process ID: 0x269c

Report ID: 0a0d8e0e-8dbb-473f-9b43-b18da971626a

Faulting package-relative application ID:

I hope this is enough to have an idea of what's going on.

Many thanks,

Eidn

UPDATE

Sometimes the Event Viewer report specifies a different .dll which is AcLayers.DLL:
