Windows Media Player remembers song lengths incorrectly
Let's say I'm demoing a song with Reaper. It's a rough idea with like 2 parts and it's ~1½ minutes long and I render it to mp3 to present to my band fellas. Then later on I return to it and in a surge of inspiration finish the song and now it's 3½ minutes long. I render it again and overwrite the previous file. But guess what, Windows Media Player still thinks it's a 1½ minute song. It does play all the way through, though. Anybody know why? Any ideas what to do about it?

If WMP is reading the 1.5 min version then that version must still be on your hard disk. Did you try re-rendering the 3.5 min version with another name?
No, that is not the issue. See, at 1½ minutes the seek bar reaches the end, but the track still keeps playing. The full song is there and WMP can fully play it, but the length information is wrong. It screws things up when I try to burn a CD.
