Opinion: SoundCloud, Reverbnation or what else is out there
I use both and was wondering if one has more benefits that the other.
SoundCloud or Reverbnation ... which do you prefer and why?
What other alternatives are out there?
Are they better?

Everyone's on soundcloud, has social aspect (actual chance of someone commenting on a track) and all. Clean layout helps too, everything is basically on one scrollable screen(unless you want to read track details). Apparently opus codec used on it is low bitrate but I'm too deaf to notice, sounds okay to me.

Totally agree with all of that.
I also have both a SoundCloud and Reverbnation account and I totally gave up on the Reverbnation account some time ago.
I post everything I do on SoundCloud but for more focused album releases I use Bandcamp. Bandcamp does not have the same social aspect as SoundCloud and you have to work to get people over there, put I really like how that site works and what the listener gets from it.

Yep, bandcamp seems to be great for album-oriented artists, I bought multiple albums from it and it didn't even require creating an account, which is nice.
