Question about using the metronome ......
I am having a situation where I am sining acapella and using the metronome to keep time.
My issue is that my MIC is picking up the sound of the metronome from my headphones and I'm not going to go buy all new headphones because of this, so I'm wondring, is there possibly a volume control for the metronome or does anyone have any suggestions?

right-click the metronome button, there you can adjust the volume
you can also adjust the frequencys of the click (to make it 'darker')

Click from headphone bleed from the drummer is an issue at the end of a song when the cymbals are ringing out. I'll try to be paying attention during tracking and hit mute on the clicktrack track at the right moment. Other situations too but that's an obvious example.
If you're tracking yourself that might be a PITA. But maybe you could remote control with a phone and hit mute yourself when needed? Just a thought.
iZotopeRX spectral editor makes really fast and perfect work of erasing clicks like that and lets you achieve perfect artifact free results. Probably expensive unless you need it for other things too though.

You can 'export' the metronome to a track ("Insert click source" on a new track for instance)...and then do what you like with it (mute at the appropriate place and so on).
No need to use ONLY the metronome as-is...like everything else in Reaper, it too is customizable

Metronome settings window
Apologies if this is not relevant but I cant find any obvious way to post a question on this forum. Does anyone know why my metronome settings window wont show up anymore when I right click on the metronome icon? Any help very gratefully received. Cheers.
