Default Help me find: Group Takes on lanes across different tracks

Hi Guys,

I remember trying a script that would group takes on different tracks and it would even color the takes with alternating colors. The idea being that the takes across the different tracks could be edited by just working on 1 track. It may have been an X-Raym script... but I can't remember. And for whatever reason, I can't find it anywhere. I'm wondering now if I just grabbed it from a repo and pasted it into a Reaper's editor without saving it.

Any ideas what script that may be?

Thanks for any help.

there's a preference to auto color takes after each recording pass (prefs > appearance > peaks/waveforms).

Thanks foxAsteria,

But these are multitrack recordings brought in from another DAW. But to be more to the point, the feature I'm really after is the vertical grouping of takes across the different tracks.

Cheers.

There is definitely a script, possibly in ReaPack that will at minimum color all takes with a vertical gradient (which with equal numbers of takes across tracks should match like takes). Then it's a matter of grouping all the items across tracks (G key), then collapse via CTRL+L and use T or SHIFT+T to cycle - this will make it easier to keep them sync'd, to edit, and to see which ones aren't sync'd if for some reason they get out of sync.

Hope this helps.
