Thanks for improving the Routing/grouping/render matrix

I've noticed that if I collapse a parent track in the Matrix window, it also changes the collapse in TCP. Maybe it could be good to have its own setting and not affect TCP. But I also see that it could be good that it mimics TCP.

Also... please add the Mirror track selection like in Track Manager. or highlight in some color the selected tracks in the matrix at least. That would help finding tracks.

It's a piece of cake. I mean it works and there are no difficulties with the feature.
The second improve is far more complicated, because I can't really understand the full meaning of the line.

Previously, if you had 3 or more overlapping media items when enabling FIPM, you could get unnecessary blank space in between the items.

Ah, good to know that's what it means!

Devs..

Something that would be amazing for the autolane feature we have (that comes into play when overlapping items) is that if auto crossfade is on then I would love an option that these two items that are crossfading do not cause the item to take up 2 lanes but instead just 1 lane (so they stay full size but if auto crossfade is off then a second lane would be created.

This would make day to day sound design much easier. Thanks

+ Routing/grouping/render matrix: hide children of compacted folder tracks
+ Routing/grouping/render matrix: show track and region colors

Really useful functionality, thanks !

Is there any way that the font (and maybe the grid size), could be made bigger (or customisable) ? The vertical text especially is hard to read.

Here's the Routing font vs Track Mngr font - the lane's vertical height is the same but the Routing font is tiny !

I will test another session in a bit, but when I inserted a media file to my usual RPP template in the way I have been doing it for years, the item didn't fill up the entire heigh of the track, the item was only present in the top half of the track.

Would anything related to the latest v5.972pre1?

If you had free item positioning mode, it might have relevance, read the changelog.

Thanks! What about items, which are created in FIPM? They still don't fit.

This is so cool - thanks a lot for implementing this. I think no other ARA-DAW can to this!

In case of melodyne following the reaper tempo it works perfectly for me.

In case of importing the tempomap from melodyne into reaper I need some help.
Given that timebase for items is set to "time":
- When I use the align-option before importing the tempomap: At the moment the tempomap is importet the beginning of the clip is on the beat again. So the alignment is lost during tempo-import. Is this a bug?
- When I first import the tempomap, and then the align option: Only the clip is moved and the tempomap stays at its position which means a misalignment between clip and tempomap.

How can the alignment be used in case of tempomap-import?

There was a suggestion previously to angle the vertical text for better readibility.

Yep. Had to now turn off Free Item Positioning to make items take up the entire track height again.

Hmm, yes, the alignment and tempo map importing are not interacting properly. I think we will need to rework the interface slightly.

... this should be improved now, for 5.972pre2.

Is it true!? Am I dreaming? This bug is getting fixed!

I notice that, if the timebases for items/markers and for tempo/timesigs are all set to beats, and if the Create Measure action changes the number of beats in the time selection, tempo/timesigs to the right of the time selection respond differently than items/markers/MIDI and lose alignment.

Which might help, but a slightly bigger font would go a long way to aid readability, as well as providing consistency between Windows...
