Default Arpeggiator issues, Wine's fault?

I recently tried out BlueARP (http://graywolf2004.net/wp/), which seems like a very well featured arpeggiator plugin, and it's free as well. However, while testing I soon noticed that the rhythm was noticeably erratic. The performance seemed to be about the same with both linvst and Carla. Of course, for an arp, that's pretty much a deal-breaker.

I also tried the demo of Venomode's Phrasebox, a somewhat similar style of arpeggiator, which also happens to have a native linux version. I did not notice similar issues with this one. But alas, I can't really afford fifty quid for an arp right now.

So my question is, is my issue with BlueARP due to Wine bridging? Has anyone else had issues with it, or other Windows arps? And are there any solutions, or recommendations of other good, preferably native, arpeggiators?

When I've used it in linux reaper, haven't noticed issues.
Just did a short test, recorded to quite different Pololski presets
using the same arp, and import/export to audacity.

I added Podolski to the BlueArp panel,
rather than sending it to a separate track.
Attached a short zipped mp3 of the result
(I'm not an arp expert, to be sure. kxstudio repository
has arpage and qmidiarp, both have been around awhile,
so could be worth checking.

This Reaper video shows resamplomatic and megababy
used for playing drum samples, but could be flexible
in other ways

I tried to test this a little more myself. I made a very simple kick and bass pattern of four 16th notes, with kick on the first note and the arp triggering Surge on the second, third and fourth note. I rendered this using both BlueARP and Phrasebox, and looked at the waveforms closer in Audacity. The only thing that I changed between the renders was the arp plugin.

The difference is subtle, but when I look closely, there seems to be some irregular gaps in the BlueARP version, while the Phrasebox version looks much more even throughout. And the BlueARP version still also sounds clearly irregular to me. I'll try to attach a screenshot of the waveforms, BlueARP is the top track, Phrasebox on the bottom. (And I guess I'll attach the audio files too...)

There is an 'input quantize' setting in the upper-left
Input Filter panel, bottom row, maybe this can be useful?
Hope so.
Cheers
