I think it's great. Of course adjustability is always welcome though, no argument there. There will be people who are used to the old behaviour and will want an option for that too I expect. It's SO much better than it was though, at least for me. For those of us who control the MCP faders using mousewheel, this dramatically improves a long standing issue where a tiny misjudgement of cursor placement before attempting an MCP fader nudge using the mousewheel would cause the mixer to fly 10 channels in one direction or the other, even with a tiny one click scroll, and you would completely lose your place.
On this same note though - it would be great if we could take it one step further devs? I'm thinking an option to turn off/limit mousewheel scrolling movement in the mixer altogether, ideally so that it only works when the cursor is over the scroll bar at the bottom. This would 100% alleviate this (already now much improved) issue of accidentally scrolling the mixer when trying to adjust mcp faders with mousewheel.
Also - this shift-clicking FX in the mixer bug/quirk (that I've just realised while digging around has existed since Reaper 2.0 so I'm not getting my hopes up
) could use a fix -

Also (last one!) if media explorer is getting a look in, I would love to see drag and drop supported for importing media items to an auto created/named track. The current system is slow - we have to choose the media item/sample/drum hit, then we can drag it to an existing track (not ideal in many situations), or we can insert it on a fresh track that's autonamed and has our default track settings (great) but which is then placed riiiiight at the bottom of a project that might already be 200 tracks long (NOT great). Or we need to remember to create the new track before we've even chosen a sample, when we might not even know if we want a sample yet, and then remove said track if we decide we don't need a sample after all. When you're going back and forth a lot this can start to feel quite clunky. A few potential ways around this could be -
A) A drag and drop system that allows us to hold a modifier to create a new, auto named track created at (directly below/next to) the track we're dragging to.
B) A drag and drop system that allows us to drag the sample straight to the TCP and point it in between two tracks, then a guiding line could appear to tell us a new track is going to be placed there, just like when we're moving tracks.
C) A new default action option in the media explorer (insert on new track, directly below selected track). Less elegant, but I'd still be grateful for it.
That got a bit longer than planned and I realise this is not the FR area... just excited to see these areas that I feel could use some attention actually getting looked at. I'll stop now.
Keep up the good work devs!
