Default Help with rendering 2 channel subproject into mastering session

Hello all! I've recently been learning how subprojects work in Reaper and realized what great workflow potential it has for mastering an album. The issue I'm running into is this: In many of my sessions I route a high-passed version of my mix to a compressor on my master bus. This high-passed signal is routed to 3-4 on the master bus and is not audible at all, it is only used as a sidechain signal for a compressor. When I bring this session into a new session as a subproject it renders all 4 channels and gives me a media item that basically looks like 2 stereo items stacked on top of each other. Is there a way to only have the audible stereo signal, on 1-2, rendered instead of all the channels on the master bus? I'm coming from Studio One and am trying to figure out a way to simulate the functionality of their project/mastering session. Anyone have any ideas?
