Take level video sources as a single compounded video item

In "picture in picture" type of video object, I often use 2 or 3 layers of video sources to make on single PIP object, ex: a frame, a main source (with green screen) and a background. Being able to combine all 3 as takes into a single item with take level and item level video presets would simplify video editing greatly. That would be particularly useful for grouping an alpha mask and a video source at the item level.

Currently it is partially possible to do this by imploding to takes a soundless video track and a sound track and then enabling item's "play all takes".

I would gladly extend the video preset library but unfortunately the video processor APIs do not currently give access to takes.
