Default rendering FX

New to reaper and LOVING it after getting more and more frustrated with cubase...

I want to render effects to a single piece of audio, not as a seperate take but so the new rendered instance appearing on the same track..? Is this possible? and could it be set up as a key command?

Yes, yes and yes!

you are probably looking for Apply FX as new Take. This can be be like a psuedo offline process history.

you can find the command by right clicking an item. These commands can also me mapped to keys. You may want to check out this thread (lots of cool goodies here): http://www.cockos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10049
