Default Default 5 Vibrant Edition - vseanv - V7 Official Release

https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1880/vs...ReaperThemeZip

V7 Official release!

Version 7 of my vibrant edition of the Reaper 5 Default theme. This is probably what I would call the "official release". As there is nothing much else that I think needs done. Though if you have suggestions let me know.

NOTE: I have been having problems with images loading while the theme is zipped in the .reaperthemezip format. If you experience similar issues, please unpack the theme and it should fix it. I haven't figured out what is going on yet. Hopefully we can find a fix.

Change log:
Custom toolbar icons!
New Smallest track sizes.
Various Color tweaks.
New knob images.

enjoy!

Version six of my more vibrant and higher contrast version of the awesome default Reaper 5 Theme. I love the layouts and design of the default theme, but coming from pro tools find the colouring choices to be bland and unexciting to look at. I also am a heavy user of color coding of instruments and tracks and I like when the colors are vibrant and pleasing to look at. So that is what I am attempting to implement with this Theme.

This version brings heavy recolouring and flattening of all the icons and assets that I missed in my first big round of recolors a week or so ago.

This now represents a more final version of the theme as I feel like it's very close to a final release. Just tweaks here and there now..

I originally got rid of the shadows on the transport but I brought them back in this version because I missed them. In contrast you'll find that most track elements (mute solo etc) are now flat minus things that looked IMO worse flattened.

VCA and Separator Layouts as well as Purple and Green Fader colors for the Session Mixer have been added thanks to the help of community members Xpander and Lokasenna.

I was waiting for that to come up...historically, I'm a bit of a here today, gone tomorrow Reaper user.. I had a license for 3-4 but never made the switch and never used Reaper for any projects. I just was never able to fully replace all of my Pro Tools workflows in ways that I found acceptable (real playlist style workflow and edit groups are pretty important to me)...
But I have kept my eye on it over the years and I am currently going through another period of testing/customizing to see if I can finally make the full time switch. So for the past couple weeks I have been creating a config, testing new scripts and creating this theme to see if I can finally move to Reaper full time.
Whether I move to Reaper this time around or not I will definitely buy another license first chance, unfortunately I just paid all my bills and I don't get paid on a steady basis (i'm a full time freelance engineer and work has been slow lately hence why I have the time to work on the theme ) so I have to wait until the next cheque comes in before I can purchase another license. In the interim I hope this theme can be a little way of giving back to the community until I can afford to buy another license.

I know it's not an excuse, but I appreciate that the Reaper developers allow me the refreshed evaluation period until I can drop for another license.

Cheers.

You should grab the images to go with that Minimal TCP layout.

hmm I actually tried bringing them over when I first brought in the layout but I was unable to get the tcp and mcp backgrounds to load properly (with customized flat bg transparency like my other images. As well as the indent seemed off? is it pulling them into the theme in a weird way?

Not in a weird way, no. It adjusts the margin so there's less indenting and then has to move a couple of things around to get the label text into the rounded corner. The background images are nothing special, just the normal ones with some of the pink-line area chopped off.

Very very cool. Thanks a lot. That's my default theme. Can you make some new toolbar icon in the future version ? For example, pre roll clock. Thanks.
