"Collisions In The Sea"

This is a song I wrote after evoking memories of being windswept walking along beaches in the UK, exposed to the elements and their power.

All instruments are played by myself.

The drums are a Roland HD-1 using Steven Slate samples.
The guitars (clean and electric) are an Ibanez RG1570 DI into free guitar amp sims, LeCTO and LeXTAC and Nebula for cabinet simulation.
The bass guitar is also DI using sims.
The sound effects are found freely on the internet.

I mix on Event ALP5s in an untreated bedroom. I use IK Multimedia's ARC to help my mixes is the poor environment.

Thoughts and recommendations on improving are appreciated!

Very nice Tom. Very good mix to my ears. The only thing I didn't care for too much was the spoken word part. I don't mean the content of it. It just seemed a little out of place sounding. But if that has to be an intrinsic part of the song, so be it. That's just my opinion and I could for sure be FOS. Again sounds very good and I especially liked the tone of the opening guitar. And really, all the tones after. J

The sounds is indeed great! I love the broad guitar sound when it is distorted, it sounds so full and heavy...good job on that one! I liked the spoken word thing by the way.

I have to give it a go through my headphones tomorrow.
