Default ASIO4all crashes Reaper

W10 pro 64bit with X32 USB connected and its drivers that work fine.

I installed ASIO4all driver to be able to select VBcable driver v4.3: Virtual-Audio Input-Output and router audio out from Reaper to other progs.
But when I select ASIO4all in the Device-> Asio driver, Reaper crashes...

What could I do to solve this?

Strange - I've used Asio4all quite a bit on a variety of Windows versions so there's not a general incompatibility with Reaper by default.

To eliminate your particular Reaper settings, have you tried installing a fresh, portable version of Reaper and testing Asio4All with that?

I tried and it crashes also on portable. I can't even set the device, because when I select ASIO it crashes, so even before I can select Asio4all driver... and so I cannot even select x32 Asio driver.

Hi, well i've been using it on my new W10 Home 64 PC with reaper, & no issues !

Maybe, it's a conflict with having the X32 USB drivers loaded ? Try disabling them & see if it works

Hi, I tried disabling X32 drivers and rebooting: no, it still crashes when I select ASIO in portable reaper. It's the same behaviour in the normal Reaper: I can select ASIO, but if I select asio4all it crashes.

Have you configured ASIO4ALL and disabled all devices it should not touch?
Also why you try to use ASIO4ALL for the purpose you describe? VBCable have "in house" routing solutions for that, I mean HiFi Cable ans ASIOBridge.

Thank you, I didn't know of the VB alternatives... I saw a video with this config: VBCable+Asio4all so I tried to mimic that. Now I'll try the VB way.

Anyway how do I disable the devices Asio4all must not use if I can't open the driver config menu as it crashes?
