Default Sound Radix Pi vs. Freezing Busses

Hello all,

As you can see, I'm new here, but I did do a search for this. Forgive me if it has been discussed.

I'm demoing Sound Radix Pi on a crappy old laptop setup. So far, it's working well, but I've reached a point in my mix where I'm gonna have to start freezing my bus folders to save CPU. Pi, by its very nature, is a realtime processor of individual channels. Will freezing a folder (let's say a drum bus folder) render Pi unusable? It seems as though it will, but the manual states that it's not meant for use on auxes, buses or sends anyway. Thought that someone with more experience than me with Pi would have some insights.

Thanks all!

Pi adjusts the track by a matter of samples a certain way right? And it does it in a static (not dynamic) way?

as per the manual, it does in fact dynamically rotate phase of individual channels. as far as how exactly, that's not fully explained in the manual. i believe sound radix's auto align plugin adjusts tracks by a matter of samples the way you described. pi is a different story. hmm...

if it's a dynamic process, it might be problematic if you edit anything or change a signal path

Anybody have trouble with Reaper not recognizing
SoundRadix plugins?
I have the VST2 and VST3 in regular folders where all
my other vst's get picked up but the Sound Radix plugin
according to Reaper does not exist?

I am running windows 7 pro fully updated and I mean fully.
