Default how to stop 2nd track record ending suddenly?

i have set up reaper for first time then found that after recording first 1 track the second would suddenly end at the same point as the 1st one above it,i did solve this but but er dont know how i did.....can someone please remind me,thankyou for advice iv already got

First, check to make sure you do not have looping on. That's probably not the issue but you should make sure it's off.

Most likely you are just not seeing the full recording. Just put your cursor at the end of the track and drag it out to see if more material was recorded.

hello thankyou.
well no when i first installed it when i had one track made the second or third would just stop as it reached the same length as the first track,yes i found the default setting that stopped this,but it was just ending not looping ,like i say it was a simple setting but ill try your last idea . Im all set up fine now but wanted to write down how i corrected this,i only remeber altering a fade out setting

Maybe something to do with time select auto punch..
