Default Reaper crashing when closing project (JUCE Assertion failure in juce_Thread.cpp:43)

Sometimes I have Reaper crashing when closing a project file via the X symbol.
It asks me to save the project and when I hit no Reaper freezes.

In the terminal I have these last lines:

WRITING midiAssignFile
WRITING midiBankCache
max CPU @ watch: watch: 0.00
AM_InstanceRecs[ i ].preferences == NULL: 0
done AM_VST_base::~AM_VST_base () Protoverb
JUCE Assertion failure in juce_Thread.cpp:43
Killed

With one project it's quite reproducible. Maybe a plugin?

I see Protoverb being referenced. I'd maybe try disabling or temporarily removing it and see if anything changes.

That was also my first guess, but it looks like that it's Carla. I make a bug report.
