Default MIDI Device Mode Issues After Update

I updated Reaper and now it will not recognize my MIDI keyboard.

It showed !!! N/A (enabled) under the Device Mode but I could not play my MIDI controller as normal. Someone told me they had the same issue and to then click "Forget Device" and that didn't do anything but remove the device from that screen.

I have a windows 64 bit desktop.

Does your keyboard come with its own MIDI driver?
I would suggest reinstalling & see if it returns.
FWIW my old EMU X Board does disappear occasionally if I plug it in and turn it on AFTER lighting up reaper.

Re: the "old N/A versiions showing up, you did the right thing forgetting the old one that showed up but from what I have seen on here and elsewhere, that doesnt affect the MIDI driver going missing like yours has.

I suspect you ARENT a newbie, but just in case, welcome to the forums & dont forget to check out the free user guide and the free video tutorials at reaper.fm if you havent already.
