Default jittery parts in rendered midi

Hello,

I recently processed several midi files through reaper. It was done via an
automation sequence and Reaper produced many mp3 files for me.

Some of them have parts in which the rhythm is a bit 'jittery' and uneven. I went
back to render the same midi, and it came out just fine.

What could have caused some of the mp3s to have those kinds of rhythmical issues?
What can I do for the best possible render options to make sure it comes out clean
and rhythmical at all times?

Thanks

Need more information.

How is the midi getting turned into audio? VSTI or external synth?

Were you using the PC for anything else during the render?

Were you using any linear phase EQS with large sample counts?

Did you try realtime rendering?

I plugged a VSTi into reaper.

There is a small chance that while it was rendering at some point a video
was being watched on the computer. but very unlikely.
I am not too familiar with the term linear EQ, but after looking it up it does
not seem like anything I used.
I have not done real time rendering partly because I have too many files to render. It takes about 10 hours to get through all the files.
But to recap, When I picked the file on its own, and rendered it into an mp3, None of said problems were caused.
So maybe it is that another process was running on the PC at the same time.

You might try to freeze the VSTI tracks before rendering so the render only has to deal with audio, rather than faster-than-realtime generation of audio from the midi.

If this helps, it is possible your drives are bound by their I/O rate. Possible solutions include moving VSTI samples to a faster drive, rendering to a faster drive, changing to a VSTi that uses RAM based samples. Maybe first just try to render to a different drive than the one containing the VSTi.
