Axiom 49 constant sustain

Hi guys, i have a very basic problem (to describe at least anyway). This probably belongs on an Axiom forum but anyway i'll try my luck here...

When i have a VST (FM8 for example) loaded up in Reaper and i click on the virtual keyboard with my mouse, all is fine. But when i hit a key on my axiom 49 which is setup as a midi device, it has sustain automatically on. This is without a sustain pedal. I plugged my sustain pedal in and played around with it but no change. I reset the axiom 49 but still no fix. Anyone out there got any idea on how to stop this auto sustain?

What does recorded MIDI from the Axiom look like (in Reaper's MIDI Editor or in midi_logger JSFX)? It almost sounds like Note Offs are not being sent/recognised.
