The Abstract Guitar crashes Reaper upon plugin unloading

Hi, I'm still useing Dash Signature Abstract Guitar despite quite old but IMHO it is still a nice guitar simulator doing a great job in many occasions. Also I have made several useful patches with it which I'm useing often.

Unfortunately it seems to harm Reaper upon unloading the plugin. Apparently it works perfectly (even if in x86 bridge mode), but pretty everytime I delete a track containing it, or when I just close a whole Reaper project containing one or more instances of it, 9 out of 10 I get a crash (recoverable though... I mean, it seems I can resume works normally after the crash requester).
Unfortunately The Abstract Guitar is no longer supported, so one can't ask the author about a fix (in case it's his fault). Do you think it is definitely a bug with it, or rather maybe Reaper's fault ? I can provide more details if needed (and if properly instructed on how to).
(My platform is Windows 7 x64, Core 2 DUO, latest Reaper x64 version of course)
