Default How is Individual Track/Channel color tinting achieved?

Very new to themes, so trying to figure out how some of the awesome features are done.

I've seen colour matching on all channels and on no channels.

But noticed in ILOGICFREE that you can make individual channels with colour and have the rest without. So not a default on or off.

Could someone explain how this is achieved.

Using I Logic Next Free v1.1 as an example it's done like this:

Default Layout:
- uses a solid background image with 2 mostly transparent rectangular areas at the top and bottom to give the track color strips or blocks.
The solid or non-transparent image blocks the color so it's only being shown in the color strip at the top and color block at the bottom.

Default Color layout:
- uses a partially transparent background image with 2 mostly transparent rectangular areas at the top and bottom to give the track color strips or blocks.
The color for most of the track will be darker than what is shown in the color strip at the top and color block at the bottom.

Lucas, do you also fight crime in a Cape?
Thanks for coming to the rescue again.
Now that you have explained it, it makes perfect sense.

Again thank you so much.
