Default All buttons in TCP at min. track height! Help O wise ones

Here is a picture to help show what I'm talking about:

backup: http://s3.postimg.org/ok4rhns6b/3_vs_4.png

See, I like to have all tracks reduced to the minimum track height, to save space. Reaper's default 3.0 theme (left) does what I would like it to do. But I would prefer to use the default 4.0 theme. (right)

Please note that even if I stretch the track horizontally, the buttons (envelope, fx, phase) never show up. Instead, the meter and volume fader get bigger and bigger. What I'd like to happen is all other buttons be given priority over the meter and slider (although I'd still like them to show up when big)

I have no experience with WALTER. Could a kind soul show me the way?
(I have searched forums)

Argh, my picture doesn't seem to be showing up now. Bad image host, sorry. It was displaying when I posted. I can't fix it until I get home, but it was a picture of Reaper default theme 3.0 vs default 4.0. The TCP track was in collapsed form eg. minimum height. In 3.0, the buttons for envelope, FX, phase, etc. were all visible (how I like it), in 4.0 only meter, volume slider were visible.

I think what you want is theme related.
Some themes will offer more options than others when tcp is minimized.
You could try Xenakios command parameter.
It allows you to toggle between 2 diffrent tcp heights so you can see everything in one short cut.

Hi Pinknoise,

So the Xenakios extension would allow me to toggle between the collapsed view and big view? If I had to do that, I think I would rather stick with the 3.0 theme.

Is there a simple way to mod the 4.0 theme? Could I copy and paste something from the 3.0 theme to the 4.0 theme, to make it act the same?

Edit: I have looked into the Walter documentation, but I didn't see anything directly answering this problem. If it's a big time commitment to change, I will stay with 3.0 theme, but there are some things that make 4.0 superior...

Hi all,

Consider this problem solved. I am using rst's excellent Condensed Default theme. It can be found here http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=119625 . If you are anything like me and want to conserve screen space for lots of tracks n' buttons, you will dig it.

Yes, that's what it does.
I very much understand the idea of getting all available options in minimize TCP It's one thing I'm looking for in a theme.

I can suggest Apollo4.An older version of Apollo (ApolloB wich I can send you) as it all on minimize TCP.
Also new Konzentration theme is great.
Greymatter is an old theme but very efficient in this aspect and still looking great!
