The Overtone DSP native Linux plugins. I bought 'em all except the AF2-10/M equalizer coz I already had Harrison AVA Mastering EQ.
https://www.overtonedsp.co.uk/download/index.html

Which brings us to the native Linux Harrison AVA plugins.
https://harrisonconsoles.com/ava-plugins/

Also, Pianoteq offers native Linux versions of their plugins.

Are you sure they have a Linux version? I couldn't find it on their website.

Chris most certainly does have a Linux version of the plugins. I have them installed in my /usr/lib/vst folder and also native in my Waveform_pro_11 install.

I can't remember exactly how I obtained the Linux vst plugins, but I'll search now and report back :0

ok edit: you have to download the full package i.e http://www.airwindows.com/wp-content...NewUpdates.zip The Linux files are in here, so obviously you can just select those during extract to your desired vst folder

ZynAddSubFX is a great synth.
I bought it from here https://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.io/zyn-fusion.html
It's open source, and you can get it from KX Studios https://kx.studio/Repositories:Plugins

Several $$ plugins from Audio Damage https://www.audiodamage.com/
Only some of their plugins are Linux Native. (you'll need to install gtk2webkit to get the UI of the synths to work
They also offer the free RoughRider3 compressor https://audiodamage.com/pages/free-downloads

Sample Players:
LinuxSampler from KX Studios https://kx.studio/Repositories:Plugins and Sfizz https://sfz.tools/sfizz/

For adventurous minds, here is a very unusual free delay plugin from Inear Display. it's a quad modular delay called BowEcho. It is really different. https://www.ineardisplay.com/plugins/legacy/

Dragonfly Reverb: https://github.com/michaelwillis/dragonfly-reverb

Last but not least, VeeCeeVST, a vst plugin of the VCV Rack modular synth. This puppy comes with 867 built in modules! It's a bit of a CPU hog, but it sounds great! https://github.com/bsp2/VeeSeeVSTRack#downloads.

The entire Airwindows collection for Linux is here.

https://www.airwindows.com/airwindows-linux/

Click the "NewUpdates.zip" and inside the archive is a Linux folder with all the Airwaves plugins.

Would be great if Reaper had native LV2 support. I currently bridge those mostly with Carla and Lv2vst. here are some super plugins in LV2 format sadly ....https://github.com/sjaehn?tab=reposi...hub.com/sjaehn

His plugin BOops is very similar to Illformed's Glitch_2_vst
https://github.com/sjaehn/BOops

@Glennbo I accidentally downloaded your song " wooden beads " from checking out your songs in your signature.... damn might as well load into onto my driving playlist lol. Although I'm basically an amatuer EDM producer, I like your vibe and notice the talent!!!

If I'm correct you are mainly the drummer of the band? Would be cool if you could create me some stems to fit in with some of the genres that I like creating in, mostly drum and bass and usually around the 168bpm + ... maybe half time those ( maths brings me to 84bpm , and be sure to throw in some triplets any polyrythms

Thanks Mikobuntu! I allow downloading because I want to share the feeling I get playing music with others, and some folks like listening to it while driving down the road in the car.

Drums is my first and most versed instrument, followed by bass, keys, and guitar. I'm playing and singing everything on most songs (like Wooden Beads), with an occasional spotlight keyboard or guitar solo from friends. I've never created loops, but then I have enough trouble getting motivated to work on my music.

I agree. The point of this thread is to collect plugins that don't need a bridge, though, so until REAPER adds support I'm not going to add any LV2 plugins in this thread.

I bought the AF2-10m plugin ages ago when it was on sale for around £10 I think. I have it installed on my Desktop pc, but have since lost the email with my License key, I could probably just copy the license file to my laptops when i next get access to my DEsktop tho. It is a great plugin.

I have already listed it under "Freemium" since there are paid versions as well.

You can also buy it already, by the way.

Here's another one (I can't believe I forgot this, they make great plugins)

Togu Audio Line, or TAL. Both free and $$$ synths & FX.
https://tal-software.com/

There is an additional set of free TAL VST plugins at KX Studios (listed above)

@Concrete I'm happy you find this list helpful, and thank you for your suggestions. Could you please provide links to relevant forum posts and specify which plugins specifically are worth checking out. I don't want to go through all of them and test them.

@Tobbe That's not really a helpful website because not all plugins are compatible with REAPER. Please post links to specific plugins that you like.

@JamesPeter Could you please provide links for the plugins.

@PMAN Thank you. I wasn't aware that TAL offers linux versions for some plugins. I'm going to give them a try.

So you can't change plugin settings, stop playback and restart from your previous position. The only way is to click away from the plugin window, stop/start playback, then return to the plugin window. It's a workflow killer, and most new Linux VST plugins are JUCE-based.
This isn't a reaper specific thing. Renoise is exactly the same and as far as I remember the same for ardour.

It's pretty funny how you chide Tobbe for posting an unsorted list of plugins and then proceed to take this thread off-topic. I understand you're annoyed, but please don't take it out on this thread.

A Link to the website and the descriptions of the plugins are in the first post. The thread also contains work in progress/beta fx which can be downloaded and tested.
I like them all, but the ampsim is awesome - https://forum.cockos.com/showthread....42#post2154942

sai'ke plugins - https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=222750
A link to the reapack/github as well as descriptions of fx can be found in the first post. I like them all - especially Swellotron,ReflectoSaurus,Filther - again descriptions of these are in the post.

Great site, but the contact form didn't appear to be working for me, so, there are some new VST2 / VST3 plug-ins specifically developed for Linux by my company (creators of the OverTone DSP range of plug-ins) here:

@PMan: Any luck running VeeSeeVST in native Linux Reaper? I can't get the keyboard input to work, so no way to use the module search or any modules that accept text input. I've raised an issue here:

https://github.com/bsp2/VeeSeeVSTRack/issues/31

I've tried enabling/disabling the "send keyboard input to plugin option but it's not helping. As stated in the github issue, text input works under Carla but not in Reaper.

@taji - I can't do text input either. Until I read your post, I didn't know what the bar across the top of the module select window was about...

I read your post in github, if it works in Carla, could this be a Reaper issue?

I'll do some more testing.

I started a new thread in the Bug Reports forum:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread....55#post2381255

If we have any additional thoughts, we can post about them there.

By the way, the VeeSeeRack taji & I are talking about is _not_ the vcv rack (vcvrack.com) listed in the "free synths" category. They are not the same. That is a standalone app. The site says:

"Is VCV Rack available as a VST/AU/AAX plugin for DAWs?

VCV Rack can be fully considered a DAW itself rather than a “synthesizer plugin”, so Rack is a standalone application. However, due to overwhelming user demand, a new product called VCV Rack for DAWs will be available as a 64-bit VST2 plugin for around $99 shortly after Rack v2 is released."

I'm sure it's a great piece of software, but I was (we are) referring to VeeSeeVSTRack at GitHub:
https://github.com/bsp2/VeeSeeVSTRack/releases

@PMan From what I understand VeeSeeVSTRack is a vst wrapper around VCV Rack that allows you to load it in a DAW. The about section in the repository links to http://vcvrack.com/ so I put that into the first post without looking further into it.

But you're right, I should be linking to the actual VST. I've updated the first post.

@Held;

I hope that didn't come off sounding like I was complaining... It was basically an FYI/update. I was a bit dissapointed with vcvrack.com, but that doesn't have anything to do with you or this forum thread. My bad!

I'll try to be more aware of my tone when posting.

I *really* appreciate this whole forum thread! I knew in the back of my head that there was a fair amount of native Linux plugins, but seeing them listed in one place like this is really amazing!

I appreciate the effort people put into these forums, the Reaper community is really awesome. I want to spread positive vibes here!

So thanks again for this thread

U-he is already listed, but as a quick note, it might be good to mention, in case someone doesn't know, that they link to the most recent builds of their plugins on their linux support forum over at KVR. These builds are often much more recent than the linux versions they have on the actual product pages... https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=292

Edit: also, U-he has a few other free plugins besides Zebralette, which is currently listed. (Podolski, Triple Cheese, TyrellN6, Protoverb...)

(And for what it's worth, U-he plugins are currently 50% off in Native Instruments' store, until January 7th...)

Thanks for the list! I've been using Reaper intensively for some time now and it rocks! Before that I used Ardour. I've been learning to get nice guitar sounds with plugins, transitioning from miked half stacks. Not easy on linux!

But thanks to this forum I found Tonelib GFX! Absolutely great!

On another note, I can't get Drumgizmo to work in Reaper 6.18. With lv2vst I got several other plugins working, but not Drumgizmo lv2. Segmentation fault when loading.

PS I'm on PCLinuxOS and it's rpm based. So I had to convert Tonelib from deb to rpm with Alien. Installed and worked!

Drumgizmo is available as a VST so no need to use a wrapper with it.

But that's for OSX, isn't it?

Ok, I'll try and compile Drumgizmo with linux vst support. I'll report back.
