Default Renders are off by almost half a second

So I render my drum tracks to two stereo tracks, and the render is 2% shorter than the original tracks, that's almost half a second. Has anyone been getting this behavior!

Haven't seen that although I assume if your playback rate is off a little that could happen.

It depends on how long your track is, but make sure you have the 'Rate' set
to '1'. or '1.0'. Don't matter ;-)
You will find it in the "Master" section fader.

if you render tracks at a 'faster' rate, they will be 'shorter'.
"Half a second" IS short though, so they can't be very long ;-).

Default OR..

Depending on how you are rendering, are you sure there is not
some kind of 48Khz vs. 44.1Khz conversion problem happening
between the drivers you are using?

Need to know more details about your setup and instruments
and hosts used.

Possible things that could cause your problem:
Rendering loop selection or custom?
Rendering to MP3?
Got the playrate set to 1.0?

yep. renders are pretty much sample-exact now since the last releases. looks like user-error.

One would think so.

but...

after using REAPER for 8 hours where it perfomed absolutely flawlessly...
i rendered out a mix...just two files....two waves cross-faded, like...

and it came up short, just at the end...clipped a 14minute file by about
3 seconds...weird...really weird....been absolutely rock-solid apart from
this anomaly.....must a done something wrong...

still trying to figure it out...

Reaper is pretty much "Clock-Perfect" for me...no glitches, timing
abberations...weird rendering messages....

I can't speak highly enough of my perceptions of this program.
And say what you want about headphones.
They are a reference point.

Check your settings again.
