Default swapping midi editing click/double click behavior

Hello!

I would like to swap the default mouse modifier of clicking and double clicking in the midi editor piano roll so that clicking inserts notes and double clicking deselects and moves the cursor. However, the default "deselect all notes and move edit cursor" is not in the double click dropdown menu for mouse modifier actions and there doesn't seem to be a corresponding action in the action list, only "move edit cursor to mouse" and "unselect all notes" (not deselect, although I don't know that there is a difference). Would I need to make my own custom action to combine these for the double click action?

Furthermore, there is no action for "move edit cursor to mouse (ignoring snap)" which I would like to bind to double click + shift.

I would love to know what the best way of accomplishing this or potential alternatives might be. Thanks!
