Default EZDrummer/Reaper

I'm positive this question has been asked a million times before, but I couldn't find the answer with the search function, so please forgive me. Basically, I'm using EZDrummer's Drumkit from Hell to send each drum onto a separate track in REAPER. 2 slightly annoying things occur - EZDrummer does not load up the DFH by default, so I have to manually change it every time I load the project. Also, the mixer in EZDrummer defaults each drum to be sent to track 1, when I want each sent to a different track in REAPER, but that doesn't save either. So, how go I get these things to save?

One more question - I've found people's custom mapping of EZDrummer's drum setup in the MIDI editor (so you see which drum each piano key in the editor stands for) for every EZdrummer variant except Drumkit from Hell, so is there one of these floating around somewhere?

Finally, I would love to be directed to anywhere with good drum EQ presets, right now I'm using REAPER's EQ presets on all of them.

I had this some time ago and it resolved.
It is a version issue I think.
Which version of EZD and which version of Reaper?

Note name files are collected here:
https://stash.reaper.fm/tag/MIDI-Drum-Maps

If nothing else helps with EZ starting up with the DFH kit, try to save a patch with EZDrummer and then the track(s) as a track template in Reaper.

When you load this template, Reaper should open the EZdrummer with the correct kit and it's output routing.

Like spike said there were some saving issues with older versions of EZ Drummer, so be sure that you have updated to the latest version over there.
Also you can grab some great track templates here that already have the drums assigned to different tracks. There is one for the Drum Kit From Hell.
https://stash.reaper.fm/v/638/REAPER_...0templates.zip
This also has a bunch of drum note maps. Just note that you no longer need the plug in mentioned as it is now built in functionality to Reaper.

I took these excellent track templates from Billybk and tweaked them (thinks like combining snare top/bottom to the same track, and splitting the toms to separate tracks etc). I have templates for the Pop/Rock, Vintage and Drum Kit From Hell, and all open with the right Kit, and the mixer/track routing.

Thanks, but I was looking for something which placed the drum names on the keyboard keys of the MIDI editor in REAPER. I saw someone with links for something which did this for every EZDrummer expansion pack except DFH.

Hummmm, I have the note names for the Drum Kit From Hell, I wonder where the heck I got it? I was sure it was somewhere from the Resource page. Let me look, or you could try a search of the forum. I'll see what I come up with.

The stash section is called "drum maps", but it's actually note name files. These can be loaded in the midi editor and will place drum names on your editor's keyboard. So, the link is correct.

A good collection of those files is well hidden in this rather aged thread from the times when note names where still implemented by one of Schwa's genious plugins.

http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...ht=named+notes

Just skip all the fuss about the plugin and you'll find all sorts of note name files that still work a charme with Reapers direct implementation of note name files.

If I understand your query, the feature you want is, "Mode: Piano roll" in View.
