Cloudrum mapping Arturia BeatStep Pro

Hi all, I'm a veteran acoustic musician but new to the world of DAWs & related hardware. The Cloudrum plugin is a pan drum VSTi that's phenomenal and free, so I highly recommend you check it out.

PROBLEM: I'm having a rough time mapping it to my BeatStep so that I can trigger the tones with the control pads. I can map parameters to CCs via the built-in learn function. But no clear way to map the drum itself. Mapping it would allow me to play it via the BeatStep, which would make this VST absolutely priceless.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution? Thanks.
