Is this a regression that has come about in recent version? Post version information, how to reproduce and in what version this issue started.

I first noticed it in the reaper605+dev0310_x64-install
version and every dev version after this.

Here is the process to reproduce this.

Create an empty midi region on a track that is used for midi.
I have been doing this with a mouse modifier alt+click drag.
Open up the new midi item in the midi editor.
I have sometimes 3 or sometimes 1 cc lane open in my midi editor.
Right-click just above the keyboard or piano pane on the left but below the toolbar and mouse cursor position values and select File>Note/CC names>Load note/CC names from file> Choose file.
Then browse to a file that is not already in the list and import it.
The very next thing you try to do, no matter what it is, will crash Reaper.
When you reboot Reaper, that newly chosen note?CC name file will be in the list and you can use it.

please confirm this someone if you can.

Thank you.

Confirmed. When I try to load a note file from the open file dialog REAPER crashes instantly.

Win10 / 6.05+dev0320 / x64
