Default Project Bay Rename Inconsistency

If I rename an item in the project bay, the original file on the disk gets renamed. I then save this project.

Upon recall, the project is "unable to locate" the renamed file. It's supposed to remember the renamed file, isn't it? Incomplete implementation of rename function? Kind of obvious thing to overlook right? Or am I missing something here?

There was a discussion about this somewhere, I'll try to add a link to that.

don't know about this, but do you have to do a save of the project after you change things in the bay?

Yes. Save the project after renaming the file in the Project Bay. Not saving the project bay itself, just the project.
