Default Media explorer - output to ReaRoute doesn't work

Steps to reproduce
- Create a track, select Input > stereo > ReaRoute 1&2
- arm, monitor
- In media explorer, set output to rearoute 1&2

No audio comes out of the track when previewing samples.

Reaper x64 v6.05

What is your Rearoute output 1&2 routed to?
Are you expecting it to route to the Rearoute input you have set up for the track?
I don't think Rearoute automatically routes its outputs to its inputs does it?
If you want to route media explorer to a track why not use the "play through selected track" option?

Cause I don't want to depend on the selected track, I want to have it as a specific setup

Hm that didn't occur to me.

At least it indeed worked properly using 2 separate reaper windows (one with media explorer with rearoute asio and other one normally receiving through rearoute)
