Default Reaper crashes after Reapack synchronice

Reaper V.6.02/x64 rev 992e2b crashes after Reapack synchronice.

Only way i can open Reaper now, is by using "REAPER (x64) (show audio configuration on startup)"

Any quick fix for this ? I have tried reinstall, removing the user plugins etc.

Do you mean REAPER crashes on startup after displaying "Loading reaper_reapack64.dll" on the splash screen? (So not after running ReaPack's synchronize packages action?)

Is REAPER configured to load a project at startup? Try holding Ctrl+Shift to load a blank project instead.

See https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=36653 for instructions how to find Windows's crash log in the Event Viewer.

A .DMP file ("Create dump file" in the Task Manager after REAPER has crashed) would contain more details on the crash. I can have a look if the crash comes from ReaPack, or at least tell which plugin or module is responsible for it.

You should report this to ReaKontrol's developer here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=222331.

You can uninstall ReaKontrol from ReaPack > Browse packages if you don't use it. Since you mentioned getting the crash since after synchronizing ReaPack, you probably have the "Install new packages when synchronizing" option turned on. You can turn it off just for extension plugins like this in ReaPack > Manage repositories:

Hmmm, interesting. If you did not have the problem earlier this seems to be related to changes made in v0.95 of ReaKontrol (hot plugging capability).

Have you tried the latest version v0.96 yet? Do you still get a crash on your system?
