Default Bizar problem (SOLVED)

I'm having a bizar problem with one of my Reaper projects. I started recording a track but made a mistake right at the beginning. I stopped recording and pressed ctrl + z to undo my recording. After that my project is behaving in a bizar way. When I play it I hear only a few tracks, most tracks I don't hear. The bizar thing is that some of the tracks I AM hearing are muted! Clicking the mute button has no effect at all. Whether the mute is active or not I keep hearing that track, no change in volume either.
The tracks I am not hearing are not muted. Toggling their mute button has no effect. They remain silent.

I saved the project, quit Reaper and restarted. The project still behaves in this bizar way.
I am scratching my head over this right now. I can see no routing issues. All tracks are routed to the master bus, there are no sends to other tracks. What can cause this?

It's probably a bizarre stringed instrument.

Apologies to the OP...

Ok. I hadn't realized that word is spelled differently in English. Sorry. My bad.

On a second note, does anyone have a solution for this?

I think you would still see the mute button become active/inactive.

But in this case there is no automation whatsoever anyhow.

After careful analysis I have figured out what happened to my project. HOW it happened is still a mystery.

All items in the project shifted one track up. That's why the mute button no longer seemed to work. The item had ended up on the track above it which was not muted. About half of the items were MIDI tracks that now ended up on tracks where there was no VSTi to play the MIDI so would be silent.
The MIDI item that was on track 2 disappeared. It is not on track 1. The audio item on track 11 (the last track) is duplicated on track 10.

All this happened in a split second when I pressed ctrl + z (undo). How?

I am willing to chalk this up as a one-off glitch. But my unconditional trust in Reaper is shaken.

On the plus side I learned how to spell 'bizarre' in English.

CLEARLY the OP is from a non-English speaking country, how perfect is your Dutch?

Definition of trolling: posting on a thread just to ridicule the OP without addressing his problem.

Good thing you're on my ignore list lol
