[SOLVED] Make media item waveform peaks always be visible (assuming no clipping)
Hi,
I'm aware of how to resize waveforms. I am recording guitar and, yes, I'm recording hot, but it's definitely not clipping. The resulting waveform still fills almost the entire media item area (so I cannot see peaks properly).
Is there a way to ask Reaper to limit the waveform size so that peaks are clearly contained within the media item area?
-Thx

Shift-down arrow - hold until size stops changing.
If the waveforms are still too big, you are recording too hot.

Thanks, I was aware of how to re-size them. I just wanted to limit their maximum size so the peaks are clearly visible (without me having to intervene). Because I know it's not clipping.

There is a setting for this. Search preferences for "peaks" or something, I can't check at the moment.

Indeed. Fyi.. in my case, the peak size gain fader was turned way up for some reason, making the waveform size overinflated.
