Yes. Another option that accounts for the source start offset like in source properties.
For location audio knowing the exact time can be very useful when matching different sources. Often recording gear is pre-synced with a lockit etc.
So this example below the file was recorded at 23:31:52 and but new ruler shows 40 seconds into it.
If you add those together, you get a real time it was recorded display.
EDIT: I just noticed something odd about this file. The jam sync time (start offset) is not the same as the system clock (they are 26 seconds out). But the jam sync time (start offset from the bext) is definitely the most relevant. The audio recorder may have been jammed synced to a camera who's system time happened to be off.
