FWIW, I don't see any delay opening the FX Browser in docked mode.

Of course I could be wrong, but this is what it looks like:
1) Open floating FX browser first time after Reaper start
2) Notice a slight delay. You will see this for a few milliseconds->
https://stash.reaper.fm/45957/1.png. The duration depends on how many plugins are displayed in the selected category. For example it's harder to notice when the Cockos category is selected and easier when "All Plugins" especially if you have a lot of plugins installed.
3) Close FX browser.
4) Open it again. No delay at all. FX browser shows up instantly without any flickering.
But when docked every time it opens like the first time.
Also you can notice that if you have "Auto-clear search field on close" disabled it works as it should with floating FX browser, but when docked filter always cleared.
