Default Aggregate Devices and Latency

When using multiple Interfaces as an Aggregate Device, how does latency work. To make it simple, say I'm using two, one for it's Mic Pres and the other for it's DI.

Will the interface with faster latency regress to the speed of it's slower counterpart?

Thanks.

On core audio, I don't know, but I would assume so.

On ASIO you would be using a completely different driver and so latency is probably not going to match performance of either device with it's own driver.
