Default Fully Support Vienna Ensemble Pro I/O

768 channels. 48 Midi Ports/Busses.

Why? Because it allows one more flexibility, and to better optimize the VEP Instances (for one's preferences and machine). Currently we aren't able to use the full amount possible.

in general its a good idea to split out different groups of instruments into separate instances in any case... i've found 16 midi busses (thats 16x16, in total 256 tracks) is more than enough for single orcehstra sections. but sure maybe theres a reason for wanting 700 tracks into a single instance?, or maybe you want to do more than 16 instances of something inside vep? Theres ways to share busses between multiple vsts and then rope different channels to different instruments inside vep as well. maybe the ability to just have any number of midi busses/instrument. that should take care of it.

Yeah, I wonder if there's something about the inner mechanics of Reaper that makes using 768 channels inefficient or something. That perhaps being the case, it'd be extremely helpful to optimize for it regardless since that's such a common thing in large orchestral templates.
