I am revisiting an old song...
so I pull up the project, work on it, pretend I made it better (it def sounds DIFFERENT) and figure out some parts are trash.
But I work on it what I can, and then I open up the old project in reaper in another tab.
Yikes. So much bass. No midrange. Ok, some aspects were better so ill have to integrate those maybe.

PROJECT SOUNDS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I DID NOTHING TO IT.
WTF IS GOING ON.
I close everything and reopen the altered project and it sounds like what I just worked on.
Reopen the old project in another tab? BOOM. Same problem.
What the actual fuck is happening here?!!? hahaha
I even can render it that way, this is actually happening and I'm not crazier than I know I already am.
