Xhip Synthesizer & some effects
Hi,
Found this the other day. Played with the synth, and it sounds good. Very weird sounds also, really crazy but good and alot of presets to play around with. Hope it come in handy to someone. http://xhip.net/synth/

I got it a couple weeks ago when someone posted that the developer questioned making a Linux version. I figgered I would at the very least give him another Linux download to count in his tally.
The synth is very cool. I programmed a patch on it that has multiple and distinct sound and play-ability. You can strum the midi keyboard and it sounds very harp like, but if you play it like a piano, it plays and sounds like a very slightly honky-tonked upright. If you play it like a synth with long sustained holds, it works and sounds like the 80s brass synth sound used in songs like "Jump". There is also glissando or portamento from lower notes to higher notes. Depending on how you play this patch, you can get a bunch of different sounds out of it. I'm very impressed with this synth. |

The Fx could be a bit better , especially the reverb. The Diva from u-he has a great delay and reverb.
