Default (question) zeroline asymetric

Is there a reason why zerolines have not even but odd number of pixels?

The truth is not in the middle but exactly where it is.

In your picture the zero line has even number of pixels, but the side lines are an odd number apart. Can't center evenly to that. Then again, when you place a one pixel fader line in the middle, you'll going to have it offset from the middle of zero line by one again...so maybe the zero line actually should be an odd length to counter that and then the outer lines an even length apart?

Yet, depending on design, all the different related parts still wouldn't necessarily match and fit fine. What would help there would be an adjustable zero line length and position. Afaik, you can only adjust the color and hope it fits the design.
