Default Can someone help with this? Making loops ...

Here is a link to an audio WAV file.

It is 30 seconds long.
I would apprfeciate some help slicing
it up into pieces so that I can then
put the pices together in any order
I wantand make the song as long as I want.

Another member did this on another song and it words GREAT!

What this is, is news broadast background music.
I am going to creat short video clips to post on YouTube.
I purchased the license for this song.
So, I want to splice pieces of this song together
to extend it for however long my broadcast turns out to be.

I would appreciate some help on this.

Here is the link to the file from my DropBox account:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8dgkdwrc3..._full.wav?dl=0

Please let me know if you have questions or need any clarity of what I'm looking for ......

What you may want is "Split Items". Also 'copy', perhaps 'fades' and/or 'crossfades'. There are tutorials available on Youtube, and the action can be found in the User Manual, too!

I suggest you start checking out Kenny Gioa's videos on the 'tube...in a short time you will learn how to manipulate items (such as that piece of music). It would be a far better use of your time than just having the forum tell you how to do each step by rote - you'll learn more in less time, and can bookmark to go back and explore other details in each vid...

The kick drum hits are a good place to start.
Snare next.

If the source was recorded to a click, slicing out any section to loop will be mostly straightforward. If the source was recorded free form you might have to fuss around with the loop length to get the timing sounding right.

Ultimately the kick and/or snare tracks are usually a great straightforward grid to work directly from.

You can click the loop button in the transport to loop a time selection. Use that to "preview" how your selection loops when finessing the edit.
