Move Item Contents without Loop Around?

Hello

I know that alt-dragging a media item makes its contents move. However, there is another side effect, which is loop around of its contents.

Is there any way that I can move the item contents inside without the loop around feature? If I alt-drag an item to the left, I want the beginning of the item disappear and a flat waveform appears at the end, for example.

i think this is dependent on whether "loop source" is ticked in item properties. Uncheck it.
