Default Reaper Optimisation for low latency/live use

I just got an RME RayDAT and have installed it in my audio rack. Its pretty good overall, however I am getting some issues with clicks/pops. One of the selling points of the RME PCIe cards was stability, and to be honest, at 64 samples buffer size, with the same number of instances of plugins, my old USB2 M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R performs about the same, in terms of clicks/pops during live playing of multiple tracks... Which doesnt seem right at all.

Im wondering what kind of settings I should be using in Reaper to ensure I get the absolute best performance for low latency live use, with as many tracks/plugins as possible.

Stuff like multicore CPU settings, buffering and FX settings etc, Im not sure what the best options are to get every last drop of performance out of my setup.

Hi, I have a similar situation.
I am planning a live performance with Reaper.

My laptop has been optimized for low latency operation.
So next I want to optimize Reaper.

If Reaper has such an optimization method for low latency, I want to know it.

https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=174208
As shown in this thread, there is some information on how to optimize the computer and windows for low latency operation.
However, there is no information on how to optimize Reaper for low-latency operation.

I'm messing with Reaper's various settings,
But, so far, no effective setting change has been found.
