Default Set groove to audio transients?

Hi

Since Reaper can detect audio transients (as any self-respecting DAW), is it possible to apply a groove or swing to the transients?

Or, is Reaper only able to quantize/groove on each audio item on the whole?

Thx.

In the REAPER Grid Settings, you can apply a swing (with percentage) to the whole Grid.
If you slice up your drums and quantize them, they will quantize to the swing that you set before.

I knew this but your answer made me realize that what I want can exactly be done with Dynamic Splits (= transients). It's just an extra step to, say, Cubase which can apply quantize to the transient peaks without splitting the item.

thanks

There's likely several scripts for adding transient markers at the items' transients, and you can quantize those. Should work.
