QUESTION: Changing order of removal?

Is it possible to change the order in which segments are removed from view when shrinking down the mixer window?
some themes seem to remove things differently as the mixer or TCP is made smaller.
so im guessing it is possible to change what stays until the last bit of space is gone.
if so how easy is it to change? is there a number i should be looking for that sets the order?
