Default reason rewire- so many tracks needed?

Hi all, so I know how to rewire reason but I don't like working in the reason arranger so I learned how send midi from reaper, on individual tracks to reason.
My problem is that I can only do it by making a folder track then a midi track and audio track within the folder and then routing the midi/ audio tracks to the right places. It all seems a bit long winded and cumbersome to me.

Surely there's a way to do it on just one track? If so, could anybody enlighten me?

Thanks,
Chris

one instrument track should do it (right-click a track, insert virtual instrument on new track) but you might want to have separate MIDI tracks for each sound source in Reason and separate audio tracks to print the sounds to in REAPER.

I'm not sure if I don't quite understand or if I'm misunderstood.

Say I have 4 synths in my reason rack. How do I create 4 tracks in reaper to send midi to each synth from each track.

As I said, I can do this but only by creating essentially 3 tracks per synth and I would love a streamlined way of doing this.

Each midi track needs to send on different channels

I don't have reason so I can't demonstrate.

Default Kenny Gioia videos

Hi there

You can use pin outs

See this video by Kenny Gioia (aka Reaper Mania). The whole video is helpful, but he talks about pin outs starting at about 6 mins 10 secs:

This other one of his video may be useful too:
