Beautiful theme.
One more reason to be blown away by REAPER 4. Yet again, I dumped money on a Sonar upgrade this year (and yes, X1 is an amazing update imho), only to have it sit here while REAPER gets all the work.

Midi editor preview
the keys still need to be reworked. I'm thinking about something really simple, without bevel nor highlight, just gray and white.

First let me say your Theme is really brilliant and very pleasing on the eye! I especially love the grade of details and the Logic-style Panpots! Really, really great!
But the only thing I have to critizise (at least at the moment) is the grey of the faderknobs being the same as the overall background. I personally think they should be a bit darker for faster recognition. Aesthetically, they're really nice, but I'm quite sure the levels are easier and faster legible with increased contrast.
… speaking only of the MCP, of course
Can't wait to try!!!

I am curious to know if there will be a feedback to the requests done by the author and/or if this theme could be developed even without those features.

Can you make it play whirly organ circus music while those GUI changes are happening? I think that would round it off for me.

Done in alpha28 (a faint waveform indication of the media items contained in the folder).

Can do.
I have one personal request for you as well: I would be happier using a theme that wasn't called "Death Messenger."

What do you think about "REALIFE"
it sounds may be a bit pretentious?

Wow, great theme!
Only the Fader rail background could look more appealing. At least it should indicate the "0" point.
FX Button (in Mixer) with/without/bypassed plugins also too similar looking.

Due to the way it's been working out, feedback-ideas-implementation, I'd call it "Reaction" just an idea.

Ok I explain, here you can see the item_bg original trick:
Here you can see the result with an audio item:
when it should look like this:
So just forgot about my badly explained first request and consider this idea,
you just have to had a third color that can say to reaper "draw the items contents from this pixel" . here you can see it in [0 0 255] blue.
I assume that's not a priority request but it can add some new perspective to this theme and all those that will forthcoming.
By the way I'm reworking my logo to fit the new name "REACTION" (thanks to Mercado Negro)

Well, I like it as it is. IMHO it doesn't look good when the keys are too flat.

Silent: can you accomplish what you want by enabling Prefs/Appearance/Media/Draw labels above the item (which is now enabled by default for new users), and in your image defining the brighter green portion as yellow-line rather than pink-line?

Actually you're right I spend hours looking for the right keys design, and I've reached the same conclusion, I think that's due to their sizes.
The keys could be shortened by 40px without compromising their readability, or even better, they could be resizable... ok ok I stop here with my requests

This is a GREAT theme. Congratulations silent!
I only have two minor suggestions:
1) Toolbar buttons: the enabled buttons could have a little less 'internal shadow' so that there's more of that blue color. It would make it clearer that a button is enabled.
2) Some buttons, like the FX button, could use a little more contrast, or impact, in their enabled states.
In the TCP, the disabled FX button has white text, the enabled FX has light blue... not too distinguishable in my opinion.
Similar in the MCP, the difference is not large.
Perhaps coloring the whole button in the enabled state could help?

Great! that's almost work
Thanks again
needed preferences:

So now how can I specify the labels sizes to make them perfectly fit the tcp size?

I never thought I'd see a theme this nice for Reaper... really powerful stuff.
Have you considered switching to vertical meters when the TCP becomes narrow, or maybe just including a vertical meter layout (that works the same way as the current one, just with a vertical meter instead of the horizontal one)? That'd be great..
Also about the MIDI editor keys, I agree something with a bit of depth is better than a flat design - maybe it just needs shadows/highlights that are harder and more defined instead of the soft look they have now?
Other than that, truly excellent.
