Default Audio Glitch with Kontakt Elektrik Guitar

One of my students is composing a song using Kontakt's "Elektrik Guitar" instrument and Guitar Rig. There is one part of her song where a weird glitch keeps happening. I have isolated the problem section in a project file and I am attaching the link to this message.

In this four-measure section, the guitar is just playing whole note power chords. The glitch happens towards the end of the third measure, it makes the audio kind of stutter, as if the guitar suddenly started playing 1/32 notes instead. It only happens in this one spot, and it happens about 50% of the time. It's not an audio interface issue, because other track in the song are unaffected.

In the project I've uploaded, I kept the original midi item, but I also applied FX to mono output so you could hear the glitch, in case it doesn't happen for you. I did several renders, and as expected the glitch happened in some of them but not all. I left in two audio takes, one where the glitch happened and one where it did not.

This project was composed on an iMac, but I transferred the project over to a Windows laptop using a completely different audio interface and the problem still happened.

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

Does the glitch only appear in the renders (and only in some of them)? That is, not while recording?

Is there any difference between the various render settings? What Render options are you using? Try the 1x speed, not the full speed ones. It could be GR5 that is playing up.

The glitch happens on playback as well, not just in renders. Nothing is being recorded in this project, all notes were drawn into the midi editor manually.

I tried disabling Guitar Rig and even with just Kontakt active, you can hear the glitch. So the problem can't be related to Guitar Rig.

Hi,

same here. It's patch related (Electric Guitar) and only appears on note D2.

If it is this D2, the on/off again problem could be due to a Round Robin.

exactly what kontakt instrument is being used?

I don't know an "elektrik guitar" library by that name

EDIT: seem to be patch related ... I tried your project with some other libs and no glitch was heard
